Mid summer, something fundamental broken.

As sea ice in the northern hemisphere approaches a new minimum, climate intensification is reflected by broad regions suffering from multi-year decreases in rain fall, or record heat waves, in addition to some regions with unusual cold or rainy conditions, it’s clear that Mr. Gore was talking about a topic of importance.

What went wrong?  I think that the entire framework for thinking has been compromised, seriously.  Does anyone really know anything?  If I take a rock, hold it up and then drop it, will it fall?  May it will rise to the moon?  Can anyone really understand what will happen?  These are stupid questions, but they reflect our present thinking, you can find endless examples.

In Kentucky the taxpayers, through tax incentives, are supporting a Creationist Ark Park.

There is a long discussion of this article at Darwin Central.

Three articles looking at Al Gore are shown here.  Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.  I don’t agree with everything in these articles, there are large sections that are wrong, but I found them interesting to review.

Where is this all headed?  Down the drain, here is an actual Bachmann quote following the Republican Leadership Conference.

What I support is putting all science on the table and then letting students decide. I don’t think it’s a good idea for government to come down on one side of scientific issue or another, when there is reasonable doubt on both sides.”

Does anyone really know anything?  If I take a rock, hold it up and then drop it, will it fall?  May it will rise to the moon?  Can anyone really understand what will happen?

We are in serious trouble here.  Something fundamental has broken.
