Useful software sites.

Elastic wave seismic imaging related software resources.

Stanford Exploration Project.  The world is your oyster at this site.

Seismic Unix.  Really excellent.  SEG has a textbook “Seismic Data Processing with Seismic Un*x” to help you explore this package.

Madagascar.  Something new and exciting.

Want to relive your lost youth?  Install all three on a Unix (I used 64-bit RedHat)-based OS.  What fun.  Be sure to compile with lib64.

SEG is the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, here is their web site.

Enjoy.  This can be the best of all possible worlds and the best of all possible times: Make it so.

  1. That is a great picture you have “Elastic wave seismic imaging related software resources.” Can I use it on my website?

    What is its?

    • You should make one of these yourself using the software. You can use this. Good luck in geophysics.
